But here I am today with my little girl who is 2 years and four months, who has just had her first two nappy less nights. Whoo Hooooooo... and my apologies to my friends little boy at the time. I was a FOOL.
Training takes dedication from both parties, patience, reassurance and most of all my little girl understanding when she needs to use the potty before she actually has started the action. I am now a firm believer that you should leave them till they are ready. I must give a lot of credit to Z's crèche as they helped by putting her on the potty every half hour for several months before she one day just woke up and didn't want to wear a nappy. (Don't worry I have had to scrub a many carpet to)
Well a few days on and we have mostly had dry nights.
So a couple of things I have learnt not to do.
- Never let her have a drink before bed
- Always let her use the toilet before bed
You might think any idiot would know/not do the above , but trust me, its easy to forget with the 100 other things I have to do before I get the kids settled for the night.
THANK GOD FOR ROUTINES!!!
Biggest tip I can give: If you can find a already potty trained toddler; let them show your toddler the way.. works a treat..
Good Luck
